Inspire a Love for Language and Culture: Lead Our Montessori Spanish Program

Chiaravalle Montessori is seeking a passionate and experienced K-8 Spanish Teacher to guide our students on a journey of language acquisition and cultural exploration.

About the Position

As the Spanish Head Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture among our students. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with K-8 classroom teachers to thoughtfully integrate the Spanish curriculum into homeroom classes through "push-in" sessions, formal classes, and structured visits. You will prepare engaging and interactive learning materials that encourage children to explore and discover the language independently, reinforcing the lessons taught for our Kindergarten, Lower and Upper Elementary (1st-3rd and 4th-6th), and Middle School (7th-8th) mixed-age groupings of students.

Using best practices in language education, you will create individualized and differentiated learning plans. This full-time role will also involve developing Spanish material for our K-8 after-school and studio programs and ensuring a seamless language experience across various settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver dynamic Spanish language lessons that captivate students' interest and promote active participation at multiple age groups and proficiency levels

  • Incorporate authentic cultural elements, such as music, art, literature, and traditions, to provide a rich and immersive learning experience

  • Leverage the Montessori principles of student-centered learning, hands-on exploration, and multi-sensory approaches to enhance language acquisition

  • Continuously assess and adapt your teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities

  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated language program across all grade levels
