Room parents are Chiaravalle's classroom specific ambassadors who foster community and act as liaisons between your classroom teacher and parents. Tasks vary depending on program level.
If you like to be mobile and promote healthy activities, being a member of the Sashay Leader Team is right for you. On Tues and Thurs, fall and spring (weather permitting), lead a group of fellow parents for a walk through the neighborhood after morning drop off. We are not asking anyone to lead every walk. If you can only make it for a couple, no worries. Let us know you are interested.
Mighty Networks is Chiaravalle's parent/caregiver to parent/caregiver social media platform. On this private page, the coordinator approves new members, answers questions, or adds posts as needed. This is a great way to help the community from the convenience of your sofa!
Our fun-filled back to school tradition! We will gather in Currey Park for a tasty popsicle treat on Fri, Sep 1, from 3pm to 4pm. Mingle with friends and reconnect after the summer.
Help us plan this year's fall adult community event. Scheduled for Fri, Sep 8 from 6pm to 9pm in Currey Park. Volunteers are needed for planning, set-up, and tear down.
Thanking our teachers thoughtfully and frequently is a priority for the CFA. If you would like to be a part of the committee that comes up with and plans these activities, let us know.
Have lots of clothes/gear/toys that your children have outgrown? Or are there items you need but would rather not spend $$$ on? Let’s get together and share! Each family wishing to participate may bring their items and set them up for community sharing. This year's Buy Nothing Boutique will be held in Currey Park on Fri, Oct 13 from 3-5:30pm. After the event, any remaining items you wish to donate can be dropped in bins for local charities.
The week of Nov 6-10 we will be working in small groups to collate and bind the toddler and early childhood Chiaravalle Connections books.
Join us for a brainstorming conversation on ways the CFA can plan events and activities our families can participation in to become more engaged in the greater community outside of our school.
Cultural Fest and Potluck is a beloved tradition which celebrates the many heritages and cultures of the Chiaravalle community. There are multiple facets to this event: a potluck meal, performance and cultural presentations are some of the highlights. This year's event is planned for Sun, Feb 4 from 2-4:30pm. Sign-up to be on the planning committee or to assist the day of.
Assist the Admission Office with tasks that support our need to solicit and recruit new families. Make a phone call or lead a tour and share your enthusiasm for Chiaravalle with others.
The Annual Fund is our sole avenue for soliciting necessary charitable gifts. Join our team of volunteers to help educate and spread the word about this year's program. We can’t do it without you!
