Celebrating 60 years of Chiaravalle

Chiaravalle Montessori began in 1965 when Mali Dhandina, our first teacher, welcomed 18 students into a classroom in the basement of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
What started as a small community of curious learners has flourished into a school of more than 300 students, guided by dedicated faculty and staff.
As we celebrate our 60th year, we honor not just our history, but the connections, community, and love of learning that have defined Chiaravalle for six decades.
We hope you’ll join us in one of the many ways we’ll celebrate this year.

60 Acts of Service
As part of our 60th anniversary celebration, we are launching a year-long initiative that builds on our six decades of serving the Evanston community. Throughout the year, students, faculty and staff, and families will take part in service projects that not only benefit our school and local community, but also extend our care to the wider world. Together, these 60 acts will honor our history, strengthen our connections and leave a lasting positive impact for years to come.

Spring Event and Alumni Day
Save the Date: Fri, May 8
This spring, we‘re excited to revive a beloved Chiaravalle tradition, our Spring Event — a chance for the adults in our community to come together for a fantastic evening of music, camaraderie, and fundraising in support of our school — alongside a special Alumni Weekend Reunion.
We look forward to welcoming generations of faculty, staff, alumni, and families to reconnect, reminisce, and create new memories together. Plans are underway for a spectacular weekend of celebration. We can’t wait to share the details soon and hope you will join us for this milestone gathering to honor our shared history and bright future!
