Celebrating 60 years of Chiaravalle

60th Anniversary logo

Chiaravalle Montessori began in 1965 when Mali Dhandina, our first teacher, welcomed 18 students into a classroom in the basement of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

What started as a small community of curious learners has flourished into a school of more than 300 students, guided by dedicated faculty and staff.

As we celebrate our 60th year, we honor not just our history, but the connections, community, and love of learning that have defined Chiaravalle for six decades.

We hope you’ll join us in one of the many ways we’ll celebrate this year.

Fall Family Festival

More than 500 Chiaravalle community members came together for a day of joy and camaraderie at the Fall Family Festival, celebrating a milestone in our history. With carnival games, lively bounce houses, impressive performances by Myster AJ the Magician, our circus performer (and 2017 alum) Eva Duvall, and a thrilling finale, the day truly captured the spirit of our community.

A huge thank you to the volunteers who made everything run smoothly — proof that big things happen when we all pitch in. Special thanks to our parent volunteers for creating a fun and festive atmosphere, and organizing the delicious treats. What a wonderful way to celebrate 60 years of Chiaravalle!

60 Acts of Service

As part of our 60th anniversary celebration, we are launching a year-long initiative that builds on our six decades of serving the Evanston community. Throughout the year, students, faculty and staff, and families will take part in service projects that not only benefit our school and local community, but also extend our care to the wider world. Together, these 60 acts will honor our history, strengthen our connections and leave a lasting positive impact for years to come.
