• Plans are picking up speed

  Garden plans have picked up some speed as we have more of a master plan in place, thanks to advisors in the community.

  We have a small mini-grant to add to our small budget, and purchases have been made. 2 raised beds made of recycled materials are on the way, and our Earth Box has arrived.

• Chiaravalle wins Keep Evanston Beautiful grant

  The Keep Evanston Beautiful Board has awarded the Chiaravalle garden project a $250 mini grant! The Board members were impressed with your goals and your project and would like to follow your progress

• We will start with two raised beds of 4 by 8 feet, and one Earth Box

  The plans for our wonderful new garden are taking shape daily. The vision set forth at our first meeting, has now matured into a more realistic picture of what can be done with the space that we have.

  The site appears to be getting a great amount of sun during the day which is very promising. A visit last week from the Dawes School Garden coordinator Lynn Hyndman and the SAGE education chair Kitty Okano gave us some very useful and practical information.They have created some wonderful spaces at schools in Evanston.
