  Well, you’ve seen how well Montessori works for the children who attend Chiaravalle Montessori school, and after the 2010 Spring Benefit, MontessoriWorks!, the reason is clear: This community believes in, is inspired by and works hard to maintain and grow this wonderful environment.

  Parents, teachers and administrators all came together on April 24 and raised more than $100,000 for teacher salaries and $48,700 for Fund A Need. Bidding on incredible items while enjoying a wonderful meal and good company might not have felt like work, but the money the event raised is invaluable and goes a long way in helping secure the future of Chiaravalle Montessori School.

• Spring Benefit Success

  What an amazing evening! Friends, neighbors, families, faculty, and alumni who attended the Spring Benefit Montessori Works! last Saturday night were witness to an outpouring of good will and support. We want to again acknowledge the work of our co-chairs, Stephanie Anderson and Pam Levy, for creating an evening that has raised at least $100,000 in support of the school and $48,700 through Fund A Need in support of faculty professional development. We'll announce a final total of funds raised through the Benefit when all the expenses have been tallied.

  The nice weather over Spring break may have made you think of renewal. New buds popping on trees, the grass somehow looking a little greener and the first round of annuals pushing their way through the soil. In some ways, Spring marks the time of year when things come alive, reawakening after a time of inner focus.
