Annual Fund

At Chiaravalle tuition revenues represent only a portion of the costs of maintaining a high quality educational program. No large institution, government support, or founder's endowment ensures our long-term financial stability. We are completely dependent on tuition revenues and the annual voluntary giving of our families. Chiaravalle families have also been extremely generous with their charitable contributions so we can support financial aid.

The primary fundraising effort is the Chiaravalle Annual Fund. We ask that all families take part. Your participation—at whatever level your family can manage—is very important. Each family's situation is different, so gifts range from $10 to over $10,000. But whatever level your family can manage, your contribution is very important. The greater the level of participation, the more large donors, alumni, and "friends of Chiaravalle" are inspired to give. The important thing is to make a contribution so we can show 100% participation in the Annual Fund, as this is the measure of support that prospective major donors look for when choosing whether to make leadership gifts. And yes, all Annual Fund donations are tax-deductible.

Often families ask why we have the Chiaravalle Annual Fund when we could simply raise tuition to cover 100% of the school's operating costs. The answer is that having some of our operating budget draw from voluntary contributions makes it possible for those families who could not afford a higher tuition to enroll in or remain at Chiaravalle, which allows us to maintain the diversity of enrollment that enhances our educational program. At the same time, those who could potentially afford a higher tuition are able to support the school through a tax-deductible contribution.
